 For her thesis she worked on cellular slime mould Dictyostelium discoideum and used it as an alternate to animal models to test for pesticide induced toxicities. Later she received the Fogarty International visiting fellowship to persue postdoctoral work at National Cancer Institute, NIH, USA. She worked in the laboratory of comparative carcinogenesis studying the role of tumor initiators and promoters during lung tumorigenesis . Her current area of interest is to study derangement of signaling events mediated by K-ras during lung tumor progression.
